Preschool is a hands-on learning environment. While in preschool, your child will learn to play, communicate and help friends out in our daily learning. Our curriculum has strong academic and spiritual components that will enable your child to excel in kindergarten. Your child will quickly adapt to the routine and amaze you and your family with how quickly she develops.
In the preschool room, your child learn about herself and the world around us. Preschoolers identify the alphabet, numbers and counting. She will paint family photos, make crafts, learn about community helpers and discover a love for learning. Community members visit and read to us during March, which is Reading Month, and share their careers and vocation stories with the children. Parents are also welcome to visit and read or do a special activity with us.
The most important thing your child will learn about is God. We pray and do activities to learn about our Savior in the ministry he did on earth.
Our preschool students have fun activities throughout the year. In the fall, your child will take a trip to a pumpkin patch or apple farm to learn about these fruits and how they grow. We also have parties for Halloween, Christmas and St. Valentine’s Day, during which we play games, make a craft and decorate a treat.
At the end of the year, we look forward to celebrating the school year with your child’s graduation. When your child graduates from AACS preschool, she will be well prepared academically, socially and spiritually for her future educational successes in kindergarten and beyond.
