Preschool

Welcome to Preschool!

Preschool is a hands-on learning environment. While in Preschool your child will learn to play, communicate and help friends out in our daily learning. Our curriculum has strong academic and spiritual components that will enable your child to excel in Kindergarten. Your child will quickly adapt to the routine and amaze you and your family with how quickly she develops.

In the Preschool Room, your child will start out the year learning about herself and her family. She will make pictures of herself and paint family photos. Your child will bring in something that is special in your family to end our family unit. She will learn about the seasons we have in Michigan and do a craft that will hang in her locker. In the year, she will learn about community helpers and have special people come in to talk about their careers. Her classroom will also have people in the community come and read to us during March which is Reading month. As parents, you are also welcome to come in and read or do a special activity with us. Preschoolers identify the alphabet, numbers, and counting.

The most important thing your child will learn about is God. We pray and do activities to learn about our Savior in the ministry he did on earth. In the preschool room throughout the year, we have three parties, Halloween, Christmas, and Valentine’s Day. We play games, make a craft and decorate a treat. Toward the end of the year we look forward to celebrating the school year with your child’s graduation.

In the Fall time of the year your Preschool child will take a trip to a pumpkin patch or apple farm. Your child will learn about these fruits in how they grow and things we make with these fruits. At the end of our visit we get to have a cookie or donut for a taste of what they make at these farms. When your child graduates from AACS Preschool, she will be well prepared academically, socially and Spiritually for her future educational successes.
